SOLIDARITY MONDAY:

In 2004, Shopping Eldorado launched a differentiated campaign focusing the social sphere. The Segunda Solidária campaign, since its launch, derives all its income from the Eldorado parking lot, on the first Monday of each month, and donates its entirety to the GRAACC - Grupo de Apoio à Criança e ao Adolescente com Câncer (Support Group for the Child and Teenager with Cancer).
The goal is to get all the shopping mall community involved in this solidarity action. And, in addition, to generate the necessary income and awareness from customers, shopkeepers and mall employees on the importance of commitment to social causes.

UMA LATA UM SORRISO PROJECT

Shopping Eldorado has developed an exclusive soft drink can recycling project in partnership with NOVELÍS (Aluminum company) – “Uma lata um sorriso”.
A selective system for the collection of aluminum cans has been installed on the 3rd floor food courts and all the income generated by their sale is destined to Ação Criança, thus promoting social responsibility.
The campaign’s goal is to promote awareness among the shopping mall’s customers on the benefits of recycling cans that today are discarded and unutilized, and strengthen the commitment to environment preservation.
Some facts:
The aluminum can returns to consumption only 35 days after being recycled. Despite the non-compulsory nature of selective collection, Brazil has become a record breaker in the recycling of the material 87% of aluminum cans are recycled. According to data from NOVELÍS, through recycling, Brazil saves enough electrical energy to sustain the one-year energy demand of a state such as Piauí;
Aluminum is the only metal that can be endlessly recycled without losing quality. NOVELÍS has the largest aluminum cans recycling center in Latin America, located in Pindamonhangaba (SP).
